Coherent software in action, in the area of financial regulation:
This demo shows how Coherent technology automates decisions about compliance — and provides full explanations, in English, of how decisions are reached.

- Video part 2 (for Windows – .wmv) Video part 2 (for iphone, ipad – Quicktime) (6 min.) demonstrates Coherent software providing decision support about whether transactions comply with financial regulations.
- The accompanying slide presentation covers the entire demo. It includes annotated screenshots and additional information.
The demo shows an example of decision making about compliance with Regulation W, an important recent banking regulation from the US Federal Reserve. Regulation W was issued in the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis and is intended to reduce risk both for individual banks and for the financial system as a whole.
Coherent software is used to:
- create operational logic that corresponds to English text; and then
- reason automatically with that logic in order to perform decision making, explanation, and other querying.
