Several hundred AI research and industry leaders were on hand to watch Benjamin Grosof, CEO and CTO of Coherent present on the “New Wave KRR: Rulelog-based Deep Reasoning with NLP for Financial Regulatory Compliance and More” on July 15 as part of industry day at IJCAI 2016, the International Joint Conference on AI. Highlighting the role of knowledge representation and reasoning in AI, Benjamin stressed that KRR is an important ingredient in getting value from ML and that recent advances in KRR, commercialized in Coherent’s Ergo software, are starting to unlock these benefits. Ergo’s ability to represent more complex knowledge, reason deeply, and orchestrate multiple knowledge sources and components while generating highly accurate results with full explanations are detailed in the talk.
